ACTING
It has been my lifelong dream to be a 'True Hollywood Actor'. During my formative years I was told that I would never work in Hollywood and/or in the Entertainment Industry. I was treated an out-cast, I was alone with my goal; no one knew I had my dream. But now, I've dedicated my life to my art and my craft. Not a day goes by that I don't work on honing my skills and talents to the next level.
Acting isn't a job; one can't be made into a great Actor just by following the "rules" and knowing all of the methods and different styles. One has to have an innate ability built into the core of one's being in order to be an actor. A desire for true perfection helps to relay a message to the audience and most importantly to oneself. I didn't choose to be an Actor. Acting chose me. Acting is the only thing that satisfies me. I've had many opportunities, and I taken advantage of them; however, when you work in the Entertainment World, ultimately whether or not you succeed doesn't always depend on how talented you are.
Success (meaning steady work) depends on whether or not someone is willing to take a chance on using you...in commercials, on stage, in film, on TV, as a voice-over...any way that allows you to show your abilities. In Show Business, it's just that: a business. Producers, directors, casting agents, and others all must think of you as a product. If you can make them money and sell their product, your chances of being hired are greater, and sometimes a lot of jobs are given to people simply by knowing the right person or by being in the right place at the right time.
